This book is absolutely fantastic. I have two children with Asperger's and Temple Grandin's insight into why many people with autism have specific behaviors was eye-opening. It also gave me a complete new perspective on what believed processes may impact their ability to find out abstract items and socialize with other folks. I would very advocate this book to any individual. Even if you do not personally know an individual with autism it can certainly give you a initial-hand look at how diverse people believe differently.

Whether or not you know any one with Asperger's or not, this book will enlighten and expand your thinking about how minds function and what it suggests to be human. As in most areas, most men and women assume that other folks feel and perceive the exact same way that they do, and that this is the "only ideal way to do it." But when everyone thinks the very same way, break-via thinking is pretty much impossible.
Reading this book I wondered if, without the awe-inspiring variations, we would have ever moved out of mud huts. It appears to me that the lessons stretch far beyond what it signifies to have Aspergers, while learning what that signifies is an extraordinary gift.
